Hot Pink!

Once I had started brainstorming ideas for my office as far as colors, I also
started pulling together ideas as to what furniture pieces I wanted in my space.  Because it's a small room with an L shape, I knew I wanted and needed pieces that would be both functional and pretty.  I decided to hunt for a nice solid dresser piece that could be used as a sideboard and for extra storage.

Here are the Before photos:

Not bad shape, but I wanted a Fun statement piece!

Since I had went with colors of soft pinks and whites with chrome accents, I knew I wanted this piece to be my Feature piece!

Here are the After photos:

This was before I had added all the hardware

And here she stands today . . .LOVE!!!!!!

. . . And There's More

Since my post "All in A Day's Work" I have added two more inspiring books to my ever growing collection.  I bought these at an Antique Mall on Thursday.  Both are Better Homes and Garden editions and . .

they fit in nicely with this group. . .

What was your day like . . .?

My day was spent doing this . . .

Before and After of a Client's Living Room

I wanted to share with you some before and after pictures of a client's living room, I completed earlier this year.  Sandy a recently retired school teacher, who is anything, but retired is so full of energy and ambition; I loved working with her!  She desired to create a totally different look from she had been living with for the past 30 years.  She was the best part of the whole project!

Here are the Before photos:

When Sandy initially called me she wanted me to look at the furniture she had chosen before purchasing anything.  Once I saw what she had chose I knew Sandy was truly ready for a total make over!  Sandy's project extended into the dinning area/kitchen and foyer as well, which I will share at a later date.

Here are the After photos (before the final window treatments):

Please excuse the ladder, we were finalizing everything on this day.
