Changes

Last Friday I took some time to re-connect and make some changes in my home office.  Trying to create that balance between functional and pretty.  I enjoy my little space and it accommodates me well, but I felt off balanced going from desk to computer.  I have always been one that needs a calming place to escape and relax with my work at hand.

I seem to get so much more accomplished when the area around me is free of clutter and physically and visually pleasing to me.  I believe I have found a winning combo of both functional and visibly pleasing . . .At least for now (this month)

Before:

This layout was ok and I liked being where I could see out  the window and it accommodated both me and my husband, who seems to that this is his space by night  giving us two desk areas.  But, it just was not pleasing to my eye.

I think my original layout from when I first put this room together was the most pleasing only because everything was new and fresh and mine, but I have since changed and rearranged so many times it's been difficult for me to find that perfect fit.  But, I also know that our rooms change and evolve as our needs change.  It is sometimes necessary to re-vamp to accommodate our growth.

After:

The Assistant awaits . . .Come on in!

  2. I think your work space looks very nice and calming. I'm like you - I need things to be clutter-free and pleasing to the eye in order to get things accomplished. Oh, also, love your little helper (last photo!) So cute!
