Client project Times Two . . .

In working with the same client, I mentioned last week, I am also working with her co-worker to create a space for her as well.  The second office space will have a complete look of it's own.

In creating this office space, she enjoys fresh color, mixed with whimsical and the unexpected here are some great ideas to wet this appetite.

Her color scheme choice is:

Yellow, grey and blue with accents of green.

Outside Vignettes

Spring has defiantly appeared all around and as the upcoming Memorial Day weekend officially ushers in Summer.  Today, I wanted share some outside garden vignettes with you.

Creating beautiful outdoor spaces is just as important as those we create within our homes.  Especially since so much of our time is spent outside with family and friends during this season. 

Outdoor living spaces have definitely made a big impact on how we spend our time outside.  Creating a vignette within our outdoor rooms not only adds character and interest to our spaces but, they invite us to take a stroll, encourage us to slow down and linger and offer us a quiet place to just relax.

Summer Cleaning . . .

I guess summer has not officially made it's appearence but as for me, I am calling it summer!

I have changed the living room around a time or two
(to say the least) since the holidays but, since summer is upon us, I wanted to freshen things up a bit.
I had already taken out a lot of the extras that were added for the fall and winter months to create warmth and went with "less is more" for a clean and fresh look.

Before

This is our lived-in look.  Normally I would tidy up before taking before pictures but . . . we are human too.

After . . .

Minimal decor, feels cleaner and looks fresher.  Easier to keep up too!
Less tidy time inside means more time tidy time for outside! 

This is actually our foyer area.
P.S. the pillow is not staying (just haven't took it upstairs yet.
Like I said we are human too).

This was as far as I got on this day . . . pups and I wanted to get outside and play.  I still have freshening up to do in the bedrooms, office and kitchen area.
