Family Room

A couple of weeks ago I made some changes in the family room and by changes; I mean I rearranged it (again).  I had intended to wait and share this room after I finished with some Fall decorating, but I thought I would share a few pictures now and then again once I add some splashes of Fall!

Here are the Before:

I had the love seat angled to face the sun porch, which gives the room a larger feel by connecting the two rooms.

Our family room is a "L" shape.  The previous owner(s) had paneled most of the walls with real wood the one side wall and other end of the room has wood paneling on the bottom and painted walls above.  This room gets rearranged quite a lot!

Here you can see onto the sun porch (which has been rearranged three times since May).

Here's the After:

These two pictures are what you see standing at the end of the room (in the "L" cove)

This sofa table, which sometimes acts as a desk gets tucked into the corner next to the french doors.  However, I wanted to create more of a library feel so I have it at this end with a set of shelves beside it.  Having it here makes use of this odd ball space in the room.

Looking back toward the "L" cove and desk area.  This is the side of the room that is half wood paneling and half painted wall.

  3. Very pretty room. I am visiting for Savvy Southern Style. I live in a log home and was admiring what looks like wood on your walls. I was so excited to another blogger with something different. Normally I see white painted walls in blog land. You have a lovely space and I enjoyed looking around:)
